Fontanka publishes books that bring Russian culture to the west and vice versa, from folk stories for children to the work of Francis Bacon and Antony Gormley. We create books and catalogues for museums, galleries and private collections that are published in both Russian and English, as well as photographic and artist monographs. All our books are distributed worldwide.
We also assist other organisations and individuals with projects requiring a knowledge of the country and the language, drawing on more than 25 years' experience working in Russia. This can involve liaising with museum staff and translating documents in the early stages of an exhibition; being available in Russia to interpret or conduct project meetings; or offering assistance to those involved in any form of cultural exchange with Russia. We also undertake large-scale translations of books and catalogues on behalf of other publishers or museums, as well as for current-affairs websites.
