by Robert Chandler of The Magic Ring and Kolobok by Sian Valvis, illustrated by Dovile Valvis.
The Magic Ring is a delightful transadaptation of a Slavic folk tale, inspired by a dialect version by Boris Shergin. With great invention and humour, the story evokes the spirit of the original, introducing the reader to new words (and worlds) while telling the twisting and turning tale of Vanya and his talking animals.

A Cabinet of Wonders accompanied an exhibition at the Museo di Palazzo Grimani in Venice. Centred on the collection of George Loudon, it brings together hundreds of exquisite objects originally created as educational instruments in the 19th century that collectively formed cabinets of curiosities – the Kunstkammer or Wunderkammer.
Fontanka's wide range of books bring the best of contemporary design to publications on Eastern Europe, Russia and other parts of the world.
